Families, friends and partners celebrate the Singjoy Kuala Lumpur Grand Opening.
It finally happened. On Sunday, 19 July, we opened the doors of our very first Singjoy home in Kuala Lumpur — and we got to celebrate it with the people who made the day so special: our families, our partners, and so many of you who have been asking us to come to Malaysia. If you were there, thank you for being part of it. If you couldn't make it, here's a little of what the afternoon felt like.
A warm welcome
Guests started arriving in the early afternoon to welcome drinks, photos at our flower wall, and the easy hum of people meeting for the first time. There's something lovely about a room slowly filling with mums, mums-to-be, families and friends — everyone there for the same reason: to celebrate this next chapter of motherhood, together.

This opening was also a fresh start for us in another way: we unveiled our brand-new Singjoy look. Our new logo carries the three words that guide everything we do — nurture, heal and empower — a reminder that we're not only caring for your baby, but caring for you: nurturing you through the tender early days, helping you heal, and empowering you to step into motherhood feeling strong and supported.
When we gathered for the opening, we got to share a little of our heart — why we do this, why we chose Kuala Lumpur, and why we chose Marriott Executive Apartments as our home here. Marriott's General Manager, Mr Grant, welcomed us warmly to the residence, and our care partners — including a doctor and mom of three's perspective on confinement care, and our recovery-technology partner Indiba — shared how thoughtful, modern postnatal care can help mums heal and feel like themselves again.

The best part of any Singjoy gathering is always the people. Over high tea, our team hosted tables and got to sit down with you properly — the kind of unhurried, honest conversations we love.

We also took small groups through the suites, so you could see exactly where our mums will rest and recover. Every room is set up for calm, comfort and privacy — a real home for those precious first weeks, not a hospital and not a hotel lobby, but something gentler in between.

What you can expect from Singjoy KL
Here's the promise we brought with us from Singapore: at Singjoy, you're never doing this alone. Every mum and baby gets a dedicated, Singjoy-trained nanny, with you around the clock — one-to-one care, never a shared nursery. Around her is a whole team looking after you: your postnatal recovery therapist, your IBCLC-certified lactation consultant, your confinement advisor and your butler. Your meals are cooked fresh by our in-house chef and tuned to your recovery day by day, and your days can include herbal showers, lactation massage, postnatal Pilates and yoga, and pelvic-floor and core recovery support. And because we're in Malaysia now, we've taken care to honour the local confinement traditions so many of you grew up with — the soups, the little details passed down with love — and folded them into how we care for you.
Becoming a mum is brave enough on its own. For your first month, let us carry the rest — so you can rest, be looked after, and slowly find your way back to you. In Singapore or in Malaysia, we'll be right here with you.
